Obtain Your TCard
When you start working at the University of Toronto (U of T), you will need to get a TCard.
A TCard is your photo ID smartcard that serves as your official U of T identification card. Follow these steps to get one:
- Obtain a completed ‘Getting online at U of T’ document from your departmental business officer
- Bring photo identification and one of your unique identifiers (barcode number, UTORid or personnel number) contained in the ‘Getting online’ letter
- Go to the TCard office at your campus location, Monday to Friday, between 9:00 a.m. and 5 p.m.
Activate Your Email
UTORexchange is the institutional email service for faculty and staff at the University of Toronto. If you are a new faculty or staff member, you will get a UTORexchange account when you activate your UTORid. If you are a U of T student, you will get a UTmail+ email account when you activate your UTORid.
Are you a staff member with student status?
If you have both staff and student status, you may have more than one U of T email account. Please see the Help Desk website for managing multiple accounts.
